Ecuagenera Redesign

I helped to carry out a comprehensive usability evaluation of the online plant seller, Ecuagenera, by performing a heuristic evaluation, competitive analysis, and usability testing. I then produced a live prototype in order to test and validate the hypotheses developed from my team's findings. Lastly, I identified opportunities for improvement by offering detailed recommendations and next steps for the Ecuagenera product team.

Phase 1

Heuristic Evaluation

My team and I created a report detailing our findings and recommendations from the heuristic evaluation of Ecuagenera.com. We identified two scenarios and evaluated the website using Jakob Nielson's ten usability heuristics.

Phase 2

Competitive Analysis

Ecuagenera is falling behind the marketplace standards. In order to gain a competitive advantage, our team of researchers conducted a competitive analysis of five competitors and one influencer. We generated a list of strategic recommendations to improve Ecuagenera's position in the online plant competitive landscape.

Phase 3

Usability Evaluation

Our team of researchers focused on two key user pathways while performing a usability test on UserTesting.com to identify users' pain points, an open card sort to evaluate the website's IA, and a quantitative test on Maze.co to evaluate the performance of our redesigned prototype.

Phase 4

Executive Summary Report

I created an executive summary report catered to a C-level executive at Ecuagenera. The report serves as an overview for an executive audience that recaps key findings at a high level.
